Yes, I am 32.

I am 32 and I am feeling good. Age is only a number and I am no longer bothered by the number since the day I turn 30. I am only counting my blessing that I still have friends who are celebrating my birthday with me and sending me birthday greetings every year.

The dinner today was good, lots of chatting and laughing and as usual our focus on our little Ashleigh.

Looking forward to the dinner with my animal gang tomorrow.

No, I am not pregnant and I am not waiting for anything

Interestingly and funnily, I have been asked upteen time this week two questions.

Question 1: Are you pregnant??
Answer: NO....
Question 2: What are you waiting for? ( in angry and frustrated tone)
Answer: No, I am not waiting for anyting -_-

Those who asked includes friends, colleagues, provision shop owner from my work place, Japanese resturant owner, my cousins, my grandma, my mother...the list will add on.

My niece is recovering well

Visited and played with Wen Yu yesterday, she is recovering very well. Her follow up consulation is 6 months later. So happy for her, she is still the super attitude little girl. She just can't be friendly to her dear GU GU.

Back to reality

Holiday over, I am back to reality. How did a 6 days holiday trip ended so fast? Now I am back to face my works and classes, so sad.

My happening 6 days Guang Zhou trip:

Day 1 - Shopping
Day 2 - Shopping and I fell at Shang xia jiu lu while looking for the direction for the desert stall.
Day 3 - Shopping, Sea food Dinner and Massage
Day 4 - Shopping, steam boat Dinner and Massage
Day 5 - Dim sum breakfast and shopping at Shen Zhen (2G MP3 player at only S$20)
Day 6 - Home sweet home

This is the spot where I fell down. Painful but nobody is showing concern to my poor knee, they are only disappointed that I am still not pregnant or if the fall will affect my pregnancy. Heartless!!!

My niece heart operation

Heavy hearted, Wen yu had her heart operation this morning and Thank God, the operation is successful.

She needs to be warded for at least a week. Hope her recovery will be fast and steady. Darling Wen Yu, must be strong okie, gu gu (aunty Kat) love you.

Tiring day

Today is a tiring Saturday. Ended our Friday too late. Friday was Kelvin and Cheryl wedding day, wedding dinner at The Oriental was good. Had a great time catching with up with friends, again we forgot to take pic of the wedding couple.


As usual, after the dinner, we went up to the bridal suite with ONE united objective of getting the couple drunk. This is an uphill task as both of them are damn good drinker. The couple were very sporting and after few round of drinks, we managed to get the groom almost down but the bride still look very sober. So we decided to surrender and go back home and rest, that was already 3am.


Got a morning call from my cousin at 8am, grandma is not feeling very well and needed to see the doctor. I quickly get change and drive back to Jurong, that was 9.30am. We went to the clinic, waited almost an hour for the doctor. But the medicine don't seem to be working, grandma is still not feeling any better. Saw her again at 6pm and she seem to be feeling worst. Might have to visit the doctor again tomorrow, hopefully grandma can have a good nite rest tonight.


I need a good sleep too...i only slept for 5 hours. I need my beauty sleep badly.

How many tops should a guy own? I told my vain pot husband he has too many shirt, polo shirt and t-shirt. But he disagreed with me. Everyone, please be my judge. Below are only those that he hang out, there are still many folded and keep in the drawer.....

New year with no resolution

Brand new 2008, time passes too fast, didn't even have time to look back at 2006 and 2007 have ended. Used to have and set my New Year resolution for the brand new year but this year, this word 'resolution' didn't even come to my mind until now. Still, I am not ready for anything.

Can't think of anything, my mind is full of my GZ trip next week.

Christmas again

Mum and aunts ideas of Christmas party are really very different from our (at least mine). The foods that they prepared are the typical dishes that we had during family buffet dinner. Mee hoon, satay, otah, steamed fish, sushi and few vegetatian stuffs. They find the foods that I prepared too westernised for them, like the roast chicken, saugages and the steamed vege.

My mum thought I am inviting my friends over for the dinner, so she prepared too much foods, when she knows that my friends are not coming, she quickly went down to invite my grandma void deck kaki up for the feast. So, the party turns out to be grandma's party.

With no Christmas Tree, no turkey, no log cake, the dinner feel like an usual family gather rather than Christmas celebration but that's the spirit of Christmas isn't it? It is a get together for the family for a good time.

Hopefully, we will have a Chrsitmas party every year from now on and more happening gift exchange among cousins.

Jolly good time

Christmas party at my place was supposed to be happier if not for my oven which break down at the perfect timing. I have planned to roast chicken, baked shepherd pie, and baked mushrooms.

Last year, oven was still functionable with us offing all the electrical appliances at home but this year, it simply won't work. Once the oven is turned on, it tripped the whole house. With no choice, I replaced my roast chicke with roast chicken from Carrefour and my toaster had to work extremely hard to replace my oven. At least all turn out well, the Christmas dinner looked decent and yummy.

Christmas - My favourite time of the year!!

Not sure about you, but for me Christmas is my most look forward time of the year. This is the time to enjoy, party, show appreciation to your loves one and listen to the wonderful Christmas songs. The festive atmosphere just make everything looks and feels better.

We love gift exchange because of the excitement and anticipation of receiving a gift from your love one. The gift is more than a gift, it is the thought and the effort that the person put in when choosing and buying the gift that count. Recently, I am disappointed by a gift that I got, not because of the value but mainly on the fact that it is too thoughtless and conventient gift to be given. Last year, the same thing happened, the gift from the same person was obviously a free gift that she got long time ago and she conveniently use it for the gift exchange. What goes around comes around, if you do not put in effort, sincere heart and love in handling friendship, don't expect the impossible from the rest.

This is a lesson but it is not going to spoil my Christmas, I still have parties to attend and friends that i love and I know they love me too.

19th Dec was our company D&D, we have 40 lucky draw prizes and among them are 9 PSP players. I am the event organiser for the D&D and for the past two years, I have win nothing. This year, I am the lucky one, I won the PSP player very early into the draw, I was too happy for words...lalalalalalalalala...

I need to send my PSP for modification and I can start playing games.....this is the season to be jolly, lalalalalala...this is the season to be jolly...lalalalalalala...

K: Bad news! XXXX invited us for his wedding in Bombay in Feb.

B: You going?? He he

K: NOOOOOO Way! I told him you will be delighted to go..hahahaha

K: Great idea. He said we only need to take care of the flight there, the rest will be taken care of..woah!!

Departure of my uncle

Went to the wake of my uncle last night. He is the husband of my youngest Gu Gu (My dad's youngest sister). Because I was brought up by my maternal grandma, I am natural not closed to my paternal relatives. I know who they are but we only meet up like once a year during Chinese New Year or sadly during wake of relatives.

My youngest Gu Gu is quite nice to us, she will remember all our birthday and buy each of us a birthday cake when we turn 21. She has quite a handful to remember, we have about twenty odd cousin in our Chua Family.

They got married when she was 16 and they have always been a loving couple. Althought I am not closed to her family but I am sadden by the news when my mum informed me. Goodbye Uncle Yeo and be strong, my dear gu gu.

My first Christmas Tree

After 30 years, I finally bought my first ever Christmas Tree. Went to concourse to for our Christmas shopping and I really hope I can bring back a Christmas Tree and I finally did. Our Christmas Tree is not the traditional Pine tree but a happening dazzling silver cone. Hahaha, simply love my Christmas tree.

By the way, Louis spotted something different while we were shopping for a tree. He saw this cute reindeer and he must bring him home....
